Editorial Policy

This page explains how iSharenews.com produces, reviews, and publishes content. It applies to every article, report, and opinion piece on this website.

Accuracy

Every claim in our articles must be supported by a verifiable source. Our writers check facts against primary records, official data, and credible publications before submitting a draft.

If a source cannot be confirmed, the writer must say so within the article. We do not present unverified information as established fact.

When we report on developing stories, we label them clearly. Details may change, and our readers should know that when they read the piece.

Sourcing

We give priority to first-hand sources: government filings, court documents, official press releases, peer-reviewed research, and direct interviews. When we reference reporting from another outlet, we name that outlet and link to the original story.

Anonymous sources are used only when the information is significant and cannot be obtained on the record. In those cases, at least one editor must know the identity of the source and agree that anonymity is justified.

We do not fabricate quotes, invent sources, or attribute statements to people who did not make them.

Corrections

Mistakes happen. When they do, we fix them quickly and openly.

Corrections appear at the top of the affected article. Each correction includes what was wrong, what the accurate information is, and the date the correction was made.

We do not delete articles to hide errors. If a story requires a major revision, we note that clearly so returning readers can see what changed.

Minor fixes like typos or broken links are updated without a formal correction notice.

Opinion and Commentary

Opinion pieces, editorials, and commentary are always labeled. A tag or header at the top of the article will identify it as opinion content.

Our opinion writers are free to express their views. Those views belong to the author, not to iSharenews.com as a publication. We do not require our opinion contributors to agree with each other or with our editorial staff.

Readers should never have to guess whether they are reading a reported news article or someone’s personal take.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by our editorial team. No advertiser, sponsor, or business partner has input into what stories we cover, how we cover them, or when we publish them.

If a piece of content is sponsored or paid for, it will carry a visible label at the top of the page identifying it as sponsored material. We keep sponsored content separate from our editorial output.

Plagiarism

We do not tolerate plagiarism. All content published on iSharenews.com must be original work or properly attributed. Writers who submit plagiarized material will have their content removed, and repeated violations will result in permanent removal from the contributor team.

When we quote another publication, we use proper attribution and link back to the source.

Images and Media

Photographs, graphics, and videos used on this site are either originally produced, licensed, sourced from royalty-free providers, or used with permission. Each image includes a credit line where applicable.

We do not alter images in ways that misrepresent the content of a story. Basic adjustments like cropping or color correction are acceptable. Anything beyond that is disclosed.

Content Review Process

Articles go through a multi-step review before publication.

  1. The writer submits a draft with sources cited.
  2. An editor reviews the draft for accuracy, clarity, and tone.
  3. Facts and sources are verified independently when possible.
  4. The article is published only after editorial approval.

Breaking news may follow a shorter review cycle, but accuracy still takes priority over speed. If we publish a developing story, we continue updating it as confirmed details become available.

Reader Feedback

We take reader feedback seriously. If you believe an article contains an error, uses a misleading headline, or misrepresents a source, contact us at info@isharenews.com with the article title and the specific concern.

We review every submission and respond when a correction or clarification is warranted.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this editorial policy as our practices grow and change. Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date at the top.
